Chartham Village Hall Committee are delighted you are considering booking our hall for your event/group. The full list of facilities on offer are detailed below:

SMALL HALL
Size of room: L 10.25m x W 5.19m (increasing to 7.2m at wider end)
5 rectangular tables (0.68m x 1.82m)
18 fabric covered chairs (additional chairs can be obtained from the chair store, off the main corridor)

This room contains a projector and smart screen. Hirers will need to bring their own connecting cables and laptops
(HDMI is recommended). Should you require someone to help you set the screen up the please advise the booking
secretary at time of hiring.

Fire extinguisher: water, by right hand fire exit
Fire blanket: in kitchenette, next to sink

Light switches are on the wall by the door. Please do not use sellotape to attach things to the paintwork. Windows can be unlocked using the tool on the Broom Cupboard key fob (usually in the door to the broom cupboard on the main corridor).

Before you leave: put tables to the edge of the room & stack chairs. Sweep floor (cleaning equipment is in the
broom cupboard in the main corridor). Ensure all windows and doors are secured.

SMALL HALL KITCHENETTE
Built in hot water urn (turn this on upon your arrival and switch off before you leave) or kettle for smaller events

You will need to provide:
Tea towels, tablecloths and all other consumables (tea bags, coffee, milk, sugar etc). The village shop is located
across the road for any last minute purchases!

Before you leave:
Please take any of your unused food/drink/supplies home with you.
Please sweep the floor, wash the kitchenette surfaces and sink before you leave.
All bins must be emptied. Waste bins should be placed in our large bins in the service area, by exiting through the fire escape in the Lounge (ensure the door doesn’t shut behind you!). All glass bottles must be removed from the
premises and disposed of at a glass recycling bank.
Ensure the windows and external doors are secured.

Size of room: W 10m x L 13m. Height to lights is 33m.

Stage: size: W 5.87m x D 3m x Height from floor 0.87m. Steps on both sides of the stage. The set on stage left leads
to the small hall.

Light switches for the hall are on a panel by the door to the lounge. Please do not use Sellotape to attach things to the
paintwork. Windows can be unlocked using the tool on the Broom Cupboard key fob (usually in the door to the broom cupboard on the main corridor).

If using the patio please secure the doors using the hooks provided on the outside of the doors. Note the patio is not an enclosed space as there is access down the side of the hall via the car park. Children in the patio must be supervised at all times.

There is a small PA system (CD player), suitable for background / children’s party music. They key is in the key box in the kitchen. Hirers will need to provide their own cables if bringing a portable device. For discos or bands the hirer will need to provide professional speakers and equipment which is safe, serviced and with in-date PAT testing.

Before you leave:
Sweep the hall and kitchen after your hire – there is cleaning equipment in the storage cupboard in the main corridor.
Please return these once finished.  Put all rubbish and recycling in the bins in the service area outside the fire doors(heading towards the Memorial Field) in the Lounge. Please wipe down all tables before returning them to the store cupboard. Ensure all windows and doors are secured before you leave.

You may use the adjoining kitchen.

We have a baby change unit in the accessible toilet – please note we don’t have a nappy disposal facility and
therefore nappies must be taken home with you. Ladies and gents toilets all have handwash, toilet roll and brushes
supplied. Light switches are outside the door.
